Experience first hand the "Koselig Phenomenon"

Peterson, MN: Come and spend Saturday in Peterson, Minnesota, packed full with holiday activities for all ages. The Friends of Peterson invite you to experience a holiday atmosphere rooted in hospitality, conviviality, and finding pleasure in the simplest of things.

Come and delight in a day filled with joy and good cheer. Stroll about the small town or hop on a hayride. Visit 9 locations filled with 40 handpicked crafters, artisans and vendors where you'll find gifts for nearly everyone on your list and within your price range.

Catch Christmas fever while taking in the Sister Luv Quartet who will carol from site to site; the Christmas sounds of traditional Norwegian musical instruments with Janette Dragvold; and the legendary Bertam Boyum (celebrating his 100th year), singing Carols, intertwined with good ol' jokes.

There’s more: enjoy the oyster stew at Burdey's Cafe, sample pies from Presbyterian Ladies at Andor Wenneson Historic Inn, and the freshly baked goods from the Auxiliary at American Legion Post 526. Get your glug of Gløgg (or beverage of your choice) in our 2018 collectible Christmas Mug. Bring the family to City Hall for Christmas Creations and Little Elves Workshops led by Becky Stocker and Heather Grigg respectively.

Santa will arrive in style about noon at the Peterson Station Museum, stop to warm himself beside the parlor fireplace at the Andor Wenneson Historic Inn, and appear at Burdey's Cafe to take in the naughty and nice wish list. Make sure to tweet Santa's location when you see him: #WhereIsSanta.

Snow or Shine, embrace the spirit of love and goodwill by bringing a donation for the Mitten Tree at the Historic Bandstand next to City Hall and Camp Noah at Grace Lutheran Church.

When asked about the weather forecast, Friends of Peterson member, Lori Hungerholt, quoted a Norwegian saying: "There is no such thing as bad weather - only bad clothes" - so come along and Hygge with us!
